Welcome
In the mid-80's some folks in Flagstaff,
Arizona took a notion to form a club for the purpose of playing
acoustic music, playing and dancing at the Contra dances they would
host, bringing in local, regional, and nationally recognized
entertainment for the enjoyment of the community, and sharing this good
fun with whoever wanted to take part in it.
The good times have been many and through the years the Flagstaff
Friends of Traditional Music realizes we are part of a larger body of
people throughout the land who share the love of the music that unites
us. This web site is a continuance of this notion.

This year, FFOTM is sponsoring a very talented local musician, 13 year-old Anam Cara Dixon.
In order for Anam to fully embark on her musical career, she is in need
of your help. Anam has a fundraising project underway to help her
obtain musical instruments, go on tour to promote her music, and make
an album at the end of the summer. Donations can be made by clicking
the Anam Cara Dixon link below, and also at her performance at the Wine
Loft on June 6, 2011. The Wine Loft event is free and will feature Anam
performing on harp and guitar, accompanied by Brad Bays on mandolin
from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a social half-hour featuring tasty cakes
provided by Sugar Mama's. The Rounders will close out the night with an
acoustic set from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music is a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization. All donations are fully tax deductable to the
